I'm gonna go a little in depth, so we won't have to answer again if a newbie asks for more details. You'll know most of this, so bear with me:

5-alpha-reductase is the enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT (dihydro-testosterone). DHT is a highly androgenic, less anabolic hormone compared to test (it's actually responsible for a lot of testosterone's perceived androgenicity), responsible for developing chest hair, deep voices (during puberty), and that "hard and dry" muscle look. Unfortunately, it's also responsible for balding.

Finasteride is a 5-AR inhibitor, it blocks the 5-alpha-reductase from working, stopping the conversion of test to DHT. It's very basically an anti-androgen, thus stopping baldness.

When you're taking deca (or any other nandrolone-containing steroid such as NPP), 5-AR will eventually convert the deca (or NPP) to DHN. DHN is actually extremely mild and much less androgenic than DHT. Deca itself isn't even a strong androgen to begin with.

Finasteride will just block DHN production and won't do anything to combat hair loss if you're on deca (deca and DHN are only mildly androgenic anyway). It will stop the deca from becoming DHN, leaving it to be converted to something estrogenic, or interact with progesterone receptors instead.

In summary - waste of pills, won't stop baldness (cause there isn't any), increases estrogen.

And yes, I know I mentioned it becomes estrogenic, even though it doesn't aromatize. It's true that nandrolone doesn't interact with aromatase, but there's actually another mechanism (that isn't well understood yet) by which it becomes estrogenic. Most problems would come from progesterone first though (it is a 19-nor after all), then estrogen.

It's actually closer to proprionate than acetate. In terms of longevity, it's between acetate and enanthate. Three times a week at the least is the way to go for stable blood levels. Beware of nandrolone sides, it is the same compound as deca after all (ie make sure you're stacking it with test, don't take finasteride with it, etc).
