if you like corn bread there is a recipe for cornmeal pancakes on the back of the "jiffy" box. pretty good but a little trickier to cook than regular pancakes

one cup whole wheat flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon bake soda

1/2 teaspoon bake powder

1/4 teaspoon of cinamon

one mashed up banana

two egg whites

1 cup of unfiltered apple juice

1 tbls of honey

options: blue berries, strawberries, other fruits

GNC sells MET-Rx pancake mix, also there's whole grain mix at alot of todays supermarkets.

i do something similiar,,,, since the taste was so bland i added cinamin.... makes a great improvement to eating those type of meals

You can get whole-wheat pancake mix at just about any supermarket. Log cabin and a few other companies make sugar-free syrup that is actually pretty good. great way to get complex carbs.

thanks for recipe I tried it out and it was good. I'm not cutting right now so i threw some peanut butter on top w/ syrup and it was even better

I've got one for you...I was getting really tired of dieting on just oatmeal and eggs so I thought I'd try something new. I love pancakes so I cracked open the cookbook and looked online for some recipes. Nothing seemed to sound good, so I tried something. Here it is:

1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup soy protein
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
4-8 packets splenda
2 whole eggs
2 egg whites
1/3 cup NF milk or water
1 tsp vanilla

Mix them all up and throw them on the skillet. It cooks up really nice in a great big pancake and is killer with NS syrup. You can also change up the composition to suit your diet. Right now I'm down to just soy protein, eggs, vanilla, and splenda. No carbs. The whole thing as is has about 439 calories total, with most of it from protein and since oats are a slow burning carb they help maintain your energy levels. I think they taste great, but then just about anything tastes good when your cutting.
