<p><br /><br /><br />Yeah Hypokalemia is a "maintenance factor" for metabolic alkalosis. As you know sodium is reabsorbed whenever the body is trying to hold onto bicarbonate. Sounds a little counter-intuitive but if you pick up a book called "Understanding acid/base" by Benjamin Abelow M.D. it explains all this stuff crystal clear.<br /><br />Yeah I could never really grasp acid/base till I read that book.<br /><br />I like Melting point- its definitely good stuff. Stacks nicely with x factor for that matter as well.</p>]]></content:encoded>

Sorry Rob. Taraxatum is dandelion. Its a K-sparing diuretic so it should have the effect of increasing K levels systemically...]]></description>
