HELLO!!!
A big hug and kiss to all of you guys at AZ!!
I've been away on a much needed vacation, and now I'm back. I went to Hawaii, and it was wonderful.
I saw a lot of sexy and muscular guys over there [everywhere], and I couldn't help but wonder if some of them were subcribed to AZ. [I wanted to ask them, but I figured they would think that it had more to do with sex, than bodybuilding...Then they'd think I was coming on to them lol]
Anway....
I'm back, I'm relaxed, and I'm ready to mingle...

What is cocaine induced rhabdomyolysis?
I'm doing a rotation at this hospital and I have a pt. who presents with that, and my CI asked me do give him a paper on it.

But if memory serves me correctly, rhabdomyolysis is a condition in which the muscle breaks down and get's released into the blood stream. It can be serious, because it could lead to kidney dialysis, because the myoglobin from the muscle impairs kidney function.
You can get it from OVERTRAINING, toxic drugs, Zocor and a few others. Coke as we all know is a upper, I've heard of cases of people staing up for a week without sleep. It can interfere with potassium chanels, and it increases BP, HR, and thereby interfere with muscle functioning....

Zocor has some bad side effects, but if you experience symptom of rhabdomylosis which include muscle aches in backs, calves, or the entire body, and dark urine, general weakness, nausea, fever, and vomiting.
There shouldn't be anything for you to waorry about.
