this is of course a cutting diet right???

2- is the carb amount you count the total carb or the total NET carbs ( total carbs minus the fiber)? so that would be 204 calories from carbs right??

Quaker Butter popped corn rice cakes are a good *bread* carb-up option. No additives per se. No HFCS. But the taste is just tantalizing enough after low-carb to beat out the plain or lightly salted ones. I get a good pump and no spill with these.

Layne,

A few questions on slight contradictions in your article, "A Unique Combination Of Science And Experience Based Pre-Contest Advice."...

In your article you reccomend carbohydrate intake be rationed in the following way:

Breakfast - 15%
1.5 - 2hrs Pre Workout - 35%
During Workout - 20%
Post Workout - 25%

When in fact, your intake, in the diet detailled a few posts above, is:

Breakfast - 10% ~
1.5 - 2hrs Pre Workout - 30% ~
During Workout - 10%~
Post Workout - 40% ~
EXTRA Meal - 10%~

So...

1) Do you now reccomend timing carbs in the latter way?
2) Would you reccomend tapering off carbs after the post workout meal (re: EXTRA meal)? If so, what sort of timing (ie: post workout meal + 1hr, 2hrs, 3hrs?)
3) When your daily carb allowance drops, do you take away carbs from breakfast and add them to the post workout meals?

I think that's it for now...

Cheers,

Ben " Im so f**cking meticulous....but i'm still cool....aren't I?" (Don't think i mastered these post name quirks yet).

ben,
the article is merely a guide... if i'm off by a few % i'm not going to pull my hair out over it, there is no need to split hairs

when i drop carbs I drop them & keep the relative %'s the same

Limitations are for people that have them and excuses are for people that need them.

That's cool. Cheers! Sorry, im just very meticulous about diet/training as i find it is the only way i can succeed... very predisposed to holding a lot of fat...
