I used it yrs.ago for tennis elbow. I applied to gauxe and covered with bandage. NOT RECOMMENDED! But it worked. It is a solvent byproduct of the wood pulp industry. There is ''medical grade" available.

Thanks brother.I bought some at the local health food store.it is a roll on.it stings and itches bad for a minute but it seams to help so far.how many times did you apply it?

It's popular for joints and sprains. I use to use this on my ankles after basketball games as a youth and in topicals over the years. It works great as a penetration enhancing agent when added to carrier solutions containing BA, EA and the like. The only down size is if you use too much it makes your breath and BO smell like fish and makes your teeth feel like you've been chewing steel all day( I have never noticed any skin irritation other then dry skin).

It's another thing that was popularized by the horse racing community. Original manufactured as a joint rub for horses. You can find it readily available at most farmer markets like tractor supply and the like.

I have used it on inflamed tendons. A little goes a long ways. I taste a garlic/fish in the back of my throat immediately after application. Just used chewing gum to mask it.

Thanks for the info brothers.not getting the taste or breath from it.it is helping my shoulders.I was waking up every morning with pain in my right shoulder.not having that any more.Sunday will be a week of use.worked shoulders today felt good doing so.I will check out Dmso.org.

You know why they use it in topical medications? DMSO will allow any compound dissolved in it to cross the skin barrier. Crazy stuff.

It's not uncommon to hear absorption increases of anywhere from 10 - 15% when DMSO is added to topicals. It's strong shit.

Yeah, my girl had some in her lab and it was straight up hazardous because of all of the other nasty stuff you need to have on hand to run in-situs etc. Getting a carcinogen on your hand is one thing, having it pass right through your skin like it isn't there is BAD.

I hear you. One of the main worries about cosmetics that include it in the formula is contamination. If protocols are not followed strictly, lot's of things can get by the dermis without you wanting it too. It works great for bench top research as well. Have problems getting something into solution, just "dmso" it lol.
