Many boxers and fighters of various sports make the mistake of a crash diet to make weight and can't recover in time for their fight and they perform sub-par. Have your bf% checked to give you an idea of what can work on losing for bf gradually, then you can figure out how much water you will need to shed and you can focus on just that. You'll be less likely to get dehydrated which could knock you way off your game or worse, put you in the hospital or even be fatal.
