Do you ever just look around at what people are doing and think.. "What a fucking idiot."
I think that happens to me at least once a day. There's this one guy that I particularly hate. I've been at my gym for almost two years now and while most people are changing, getting stronger, and making progress this idiot looks the exact same if not worse. Here's why.. He goes from the squat rack, to the shoulder press, to the lat pull down, to the ab machine, to the preacher curl, to the flat bench, and then does some kind of weird ass pullover thing in which he gets a weight he can barely hold up and acts like a hardass when he drops it on the floor.
Obviously this isn't exact, but this is pretty much a rough overview of what I have to endure seeing this idiot. Then my favorite thing is how he brings his friends with them and tries to coach them on form and routines. So it's pretty much the blind leading the blind..
Sorry, I hate people like that.. they're the bane of my existence. (in the gym)
Every-fucking-day. Makes the gym a bit more interesting tho.
I can understand if someone is new to working out. But god dammit you've been doing this for months, fucking educate yourself.
Love the kid that's been 140lbs for the past 3 years working out at my gym talking shit when I got from a cut to a bulk. First words are always "Dude you look like you're gaining wait, getting a little fat huh?". Lol fuck you bro watch what happens over the next 10 week prick!
I can't stand the douche bags that go their just to hit on every girl in the gym. Everyday. I like to do work. I'm not there to fucking lean on a tred mill and annoy the shit out of a girl while she's running to get her cardio in.
Granted, I think the gym is a positive alternative to meet girls as compared to a club every weekend. But I'm pretty sure you bros know the exact guy I'm describing. Annoying as fuck. Acts like he's the mayor of the fucking gym. I just ignore the shit out of those guys or ice grill them as soon as they get close to me.
I really miss the old days where there were some serious workout dungeons. Only 1 around me. And it's packed w guys like me looking to get away.

Yeah dude I know exactly what you're talking about. I mean mug the fuck out of people like that when they get too close to me.
That's also the same guy who's doing 350 sets of chest flys holding up the cables for an hour and a half and throwing those heavy ass 20lb dumbbells after finishing his 115th rep of those grueling curls. People make me angry. But it's okay because I use that irritation to fuel me sometimes.
Every-fucking-day. Makes the gym a bit more interesting tho.
+1. I'd rather they weren't there though.

There are some people who legitimately don't know what they're doing. I saw this guy today (obviously new, early 20s), doing squats at like 80lbs in the rack (with difficulty) without the catches, and without the collars on his bar. He was obviously new though and really didn't know what he was doing. I hate being "that guy" who corrects people, but I let him know what the collars are for, and the fact that the catches need to be IN the squat rack when you're squatting in case you fail out, and showed him how to squat properly. He thanked me profusely and offered to buy me one of the overpriced protein shakes. He took the advice very well and wanted to learn.
Then there are the fuckers like you mentioned. The guys who have no idea what they're doing, but won't change or don't want to learn from people who do know what they're actually doing, while at the same time acting like assholes.
BTW, anyone else notice there's a lot more people working out nowadays than 2, 5, or even 7 years ago? It seems to me like gyms are a lot more crowded now.

That's when you ask "Wait, Do you even lift?"

You ever try to correct them? I hate being "that guy" who tries to correct everyone, but at the same time sometimes it's just painful to watch 🤔
I personally NEVER correct anyone unless they're obviously new, in which case I like to give em a few pointers if it's obvious they're doing something wrong (e.g. squatting outside of the rack/without catches)
Or when the new year hits and there are all the sudden 100 more members who immediately drop off in 2 weeks.
