Hey guys, can some of you share your thought about training when sick, under gear or not. (Cold/Flu for example)
Thanks in advance.
With a flu I avoid the gym...for the consideration of others, plus the fact that just working can be hard and taxing enough on my body. I rarely get this is sick though, seems like once every 3-4 years I take a good hit where I'm down for a few days and make the wifey baby my sorry ass lol.
With a cold yeah I'm going in, I'm more respectful of wiping equipment down but I'm not skipping a training day because of a cold. Plus sweating and moving some blood through me makes me feel better for awhile. I deal with this every year, multiple times.
"supplements" won't change whether I go or not either.
If you have a full blown flu, dont lift it's not worth it.
But as dath said, just a cold and as long as I dont have a fever I'll always go.
You’re really respectful for others, it’s rarely seen these days...
I don’t have to pay attention to others, I’ve got my own gym in my basement and I only allow my wife to train there and, as for other peoples like my fighters, I’ve train them at another facility since I don’t have enough place for a ring, mattress and cage in my place... (Not Rockefeller yet!)
My main problems I guess is like a reverse traditional girly anorexia! Fell guilty when I’m getting smaller or being off for too long. I use to train 6-7/week 2-3/day : Boxing, kick-boxing, Judo and Karate, BJJ and other form of wrestling plus some Krav Maga...
That’s allot and now, switching to less workload is making me feel a bit strange and lazy...
My second nature’s catching up with me...
It’s strange because I’ve got some fever but I still feel strong and... Hyperactive!
Even when sick, I want to unload a transatlantic liner!!!
Feel like a train roll over me moments ago but in my past life, I’ve fought with a sprained ankle, bad knees or some fractured body part.
I’m in a learning process but it’s harder than I’ve thought!
Skip gym till your fully healed.
I don't train. I DEFINITELY heal significantly faster when not training. Besides, it's good to take 1 week off every few months, it helps with progress and strength increases.
U caught me I was sniffin
i hate taking days off, but if sick i try at the very least take 1 day - at most 2
Ill usually take the first day off to let my body rest, usually g2g after that...
