So I need some help w symmetry. I am right hand dominant. My right bicep has more shape and definition than my left. My left shoulder is bigger than my right.

I do a lot of dumbell work because I have a separated AC joint and can't even use a straight bar on any push exercises. So it's not like I'm using one arm more than another on the bar work. Besides pull ups, chins, and any other high bar work, every exercise is dumbells in my routines.

My left arm is stronger than my right. Or it might just feel that way because it is more stable than my right due to the separated AC joint. But my right looks bigger. I do a few more reps on every exercise with my left arm and try to focus on form to get some shape.

Any tips would be appreciated. I've never really run into this before because I've never really lifted for aesthetics.

Thanks bros.

Hey bro! I can only offer some very general advice that has worked for me. Do free weights as much as possible, avoid fixed motion, isolation movements and machines as much as possible. I would also stop doing those extra reps on the smaller arm, that's not going to help, and actually has the potential to do the opposite.

What's up, brother? Thanks for the tips. I'll stick to equal reps.

The only thing I can offer is from personnel experience. 1.5 yrs ago my left bicep was a good 1/2" or more smaller. At the time I was training at a different gym and got some advice from an older cat that helped. At the time I was training arms on a seperate day but on Back days I would do 6 sets of 12-15 count concentrated Hammer curls on the left arm only. Light weight 15-20 llbs and supported on an adjustable flat bench, really squeezing/flexing the bicep at the top. I believe it made a difference and something I don't even incorporate anymore as both my arms are equal. It took a LOOOONG time (8 mths +) but it did have some positive effect.

Would really like to hear others opinions on your question as well John.
