I like to lift on an empty stomach. Food makes me feel weighed down and sluggish before I go to the gym.

If mornings...

1 - 1 1/2 Cups cups of Cooks Rogers Porridge Oats
3/4 Cup of Blueberries
1 1/2 TBSP of Honey
1/2 Cup Almond Milk
Cinnamon

2 Egg Whites
2 Eggs
dash of Cheyenne pepper for eggs

If evening workout it is usually after a quick protein shake loaded with some carbs for fuel

Example:

2 Scoops of Whey (or 50 g of protein)
1/4 - 1/2 Cup of dry oats (depending on macros or workout)
1 Cup of Almond Milk
6-7 Ice Cubes

Blend on high in Vitamix (makes the BEST shakes ever)

If I don't use Oats I will use berries as alternate for carbs and energy.

How's that vitamix compared to a regular blender?
A partially frozen banana is also really nice for carbs/taste/thickness.

To be honest...everytime I heard some nitwit talking about how awesome their
Vitamix was and all the cool things they could make with it I was curious to check
them out.

I went online and watch a bunch of vids and at first I thought... this is just a
glorified blender and way overpriced. While they were in our local Costco and
with $100 off and 10 year warranty. I just got paid from one of my clients so
I caved and purchased since I knew what it could do after seeing the vids and
the live demo.

All I can honestly say it is makes the BEST shakes you've ever tasted. You can
make "healthy" ice cream in 90 secs with it. I at 6% BF right now and have ice
cream all the time with it.

Our Vitamix gets used a min of 4X daily. So for reg protein shakes which are
sooooo smooth no matter how much ice I add to them. I also found out the
Vitamix is the same machine they use in all Dairy Queens for their blizzards.

You can also make hot soups with it. As a cheat meal we make Creamy Cheese
Brocoli Soup with it. When you're done and lift the lid off it is steaming and
practically boiling.

You can also use whole fruits in it which is great. So say you wanna get a healthy
dose of carbs after your workout you can toss a WHOLE apple into your whey protein.
No peeling or coring. You won't and don't taste any of the core or seeds and super
healthy for you.

Or if you like those smoothie drinks with lots of fun things like kale, apples, brocoli, etc
you can toss all those into whole with some ice and water and make some great smoothies.

My fav healthy treat to make is to mix Greek yogurt, frozen grade A blueberries, a lil almond
milk and about 6-8 ice cubes. This makes the best tasting smoothies ever. I also add 1-2 tbsp
of natural honey to to balance out the flavours.

So RAINer now I am one of those nitwits lovin this damn machine. I looked at it as an
"investment" since we eat clean on the daily and have our cheat meals 1x every two weeks.
You can make a LOT of super healthy and tasty things with this perfect for fitness fanatics like
us.

I actually prefer an empty stomach. I feel more focused that way.

I feel more focused that way when I do a lot of things. Something about an empty stomach and a clear head.
