Just out of curiosity, what methods are y'all using to measure? Post 'em with the number, I'm curious.

I have used the bod pod so many times I can pretty much tell by eye now on myself.

Lower back is where most guys hold their most fat.

I was 8-10% in january, then after a long bulk I think I got up to 14% now I'm back at around 12%. But I'm 180lbs so I'm not very strong (but look sort of like brad pit in fight club, but not so facially aesthetic). I'm going to start my next cycle when I go below 10 in a week or so. Intermittent fasting / keto / carb loading for the win! I've heard, not sure if true, but de novo lipogenesis does not happen too much (carbs to fat), most fat is stored when there are sufficient carbs (so fatty acid oxidation is low) and then the fat that is eaten is directly stored in adipose tissue. Not sure if this is true, but seems to be true when I look back on my life. The study I saw did show de novo lipogenesis occuring at 2.5x (7000 calories) carb. My best wild guess is it would happen with a large surplus, that being > 500 calories of carbs. So what I'm doing currently (again, haven't looked at enough studies to be sure), is eating 90% of my calories through carbs and protein. Then when I go on the intermittent fast (about 4x a week currently) I take MCT oil and cinnamon/ALA to start ketosis so I burn extra fat during the fast. Then at the end of the fast my glycogen reserves are depleted so I can carb up and insulin resistance will be improved. I'm going to try this mid cycle if my gains start to slow.
